An Australian company has launched the country’s first hand sanitiser and moisturiser combination product.

Sydney-based Shmoist aims to provide a high-quality product whilst protecting against germs as well as protecting the skin.

Shmoist co-founder, Dionne Taylor, told 7NEWS.com.au that there was a gap in the hand sanitiser market over the past year.

“With sanitising a daily ritual for everyone, and a habit that’s here to stay, there was an opportunity to create a product that not only provides a safe sanitising solution but a beautifully smelling and moisturising one too,” Taylor explained.

The product is made from 80 per cent ethanol and based on the World Health Organization’s formulation to protect against 99.99 per cent of germs.

“I wanted to create a sanitiser that becomes part of our every day beauty regime, much like the way we use perfume,” Taylor said.

There are six scents available starting from $24.95 with more details on the Shmoist website and social channels.
